No Kid Hungry is a nonprofit organization that feeds hungry children through a variety of programs. It was created by Share Our Strength, after 25 years of successfully investing in local nonprofits and helping find the best approaches to combating hunger and poverty. No Kid Hungry provides programs that include school breakfasts, summer meals, after-school meals, food skills education, research and education as well as advocacy work.
No Kid Hungry fed their 1 billionth child at the start of 2019 in less than just 10 years since their start in 2010! This quick success and already massive impact can be attributed to the experience of Share Our Strength when they launched No Kid Hungry along with the help of so many volunteers, donors and corporate partners.
No Kid Hungry has partnerships with a number of influential corporations, celebrities, restaurants, chefs and digital advocates. These partners include Arby’s, Citi Group, Food Network, Walmart, Aetna, Amazon, American Beverage Association, Chrysler Pacifica, General Mills, Nestle, Kellogg’s, Sysco, Tommy Bahama and Williams Sonoma just to highlight a few.

- 13 million children in the US live in “food insecure” homes (families who regularly don’t have enough food to eat).
- 17.9% of all children under the age of 18 live in “food insecure” homes.
- 1 in 6 children in the US face hunger.
- Over 40 million people in the US live below the poverty line ($24,300 annual income for a family of four), 13 million of these are children.
- 22 million children rely on free or reduced-price lunch at school.
- 15.8% of all children participate in summer meal programs.
